Study visit to Czech Republic - for extension and inspection services

Representatives of the Ministries of Agriculture and the Inspectorate from the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Srpska have been able to adopt a lot of useful information and knowledge in the past 5 days, from 4 - 8 April, 2022.

Through the EU4agri project, the EU is investing in improving the provision of advisory services in agriculture, as well as controls - inspection. The focus of this study visit was on the wine production and grape growing sector. Bosnia and Herzegovina certainly have good conditions for improving this production, but we still have work to do to reach the EU level. After we got acquainted with the Czech experiences, it is clear that there are opportunities for creating new jobs in this sector. The information we received is essential for the sustainability and competitiveness of the BH wine sector.

Among others, we had the possibility to learn from representatives of the next institutions and organizations: Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech RepublicCzech Central Institute for Supervising and Testing in Agriculture, Czech Wine Fund, Czech Association of Integral and Organic Wine producers - EKOVIN, Phyto, Agri and Food inspection.

This project is funded by the EU and implemented by Czech Development Agency and UNDP.

Erbez Consulting provides interpretation services in this project.
